Description

I had been recording the SE Limb of the large filaprom and I noticed on Spaceweather that a flare had started and with some of the brightness around AR 2978 I actually thought I was capturing it.  After 30 minutes I stopped and went to the Western Limb and saw the real flare so started recording about mid eruption.  Lots going on and of course thin clouds continued to cross the sun so I used Pixinsights Script for Batch LinearFit to balance the histogram in all the frames and it did a pretty good job.  If you watch carefully at the start of the animation there is a very faint eruption that shoots rapidly off the limb and only lasts a couple of frames so it was traveling at a remarkable rate of speed.  This is 35 minutes in real time.
